Carol Stewart MD, F.A.A.F.P.

Dr. Carol Stewart, Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA, began her education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning her BS in Biology, Summa Cum Laude in 1986. She completed her combined BS-MD degree program at Albany Medical College, receiving her Doctorate in Medicine, Cum Laude in 1988. She returned to her hometown for residency, completing in 1991 her three years in Family Medicine at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica, NY. She stayed on as faculty there for the next nine years, ultimately serving as Program Director from January 1996 through her departure in early 2000.

After two years as Medical Director of the South Central Family Health Center, as an Assistant Professor at USC, she migrated across town to UCLA, where she served as core faculty for UCLA’s department of Family Medicine Residency. She continues to practice full scope Family Medicine, including normal obstetrics and enjoys teaching these skills to residents and students, both at the bedside and through formal courses as a certified ALSO instructor (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics).

  • Sunday Irene, M.D.

    Dr. Irene graduated from the University of Benin College of Medical Sciences in Nigeria and completed his residency at the Department of Family Medicine, Martin Luther King Jr./ Drew Medical Center, Los Angeles, California.

  • Tana Parker, M.D.

    Dr. Tana Parker graduated from the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba in 2011, and completed her Family Medicine residency training at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. She was the track resident for the Medically Underserved track for two years, and during her time there Dr. Parker worked with the faculty to develop curriculum that provided extra training to the residents in the areas of health care disparities, serving the homeless, cultural competency, and understanding the complex health care system.

    She received the “Spirit of Family Medicine” award for her dedication to her patients in clinic, and was awarded five-star recognition for her service in the hospital.

    Dr. Parker is fluent in English and Spanish, and was awarded a certificate from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) for completing the Patient Centered Medical Home Curriculum.

  • Jacqueline Uy, M.D.

    Dr. Jacqueline Uy graduated from the Loma Linda University of Medical Center as a chief resident in June 2016 after receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines Manila. In 2003, Dr. Uy received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

    Dr. Uy current holds a Master’s degree in Population Medicine from the School of Public Health, Loma Linda University Medical Center.

    Dr. Uy is fluent in English, Tagalog and Visayan.

  • Bruce B. Taylor, D.O.

    Dr. Taylor received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 1995 in Des Moines, IA after receiving his Masters in Public Health Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TX. Dr. Taylor practiced as a Physician Assistant (Certified) from 1981 to 1993, during which time he was employed with Clinica Sierra Vista, before receiving his D.O. degree. He completed his D.O. residency program at the Westchester General Hospital in Miami, FL in 1998 with rotations at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA.

  • Anuradha Rao, M.D.

    Dr. Rao is a board certified pediatrician with close to 20 years of general pediatrics experience in the Bakersfield community. Dr. Rao completed her Pediatric residency program at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA in 1997, after receiving her Doctor in Medicine degree in 1994 from the University of California at San Diego in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Rao received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of California of Berkeley in Berkeley, CA in 1989.

    Her special areas of interest include childhood obesity, pediatric asthma management, and autism spectrum disorders.

  • Sudha A. Russell, MD, FAAP

    Dr. Russell is a board certified Pediatrician who received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in 1979. She completed her residency program in general Pediatrics from the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, where she was a chief resident. Dr. Russell also completed several fellowship programs after her residency program, including studies in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.  

    Dr. Russell had several academic appointments, including an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. She is also involved in several community lectures and workshops, community services activities, and has committee appointments. Her major areas of research interest include asthma and respiratory diseases, risk management in the clinical setting, and cost efficiency in the ED/Urgent Care setting.

    She actively served in the United States Air Force.
