The Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Program (RBFMRP) is a three-year postgraduate training program consisting of eight residency positions per year (PGY-1, PGY-2, and PGY-3). The RBFMRP is sponsored and housed within Clinica Sierra Vista (CSV) and has an academic affiliation with University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Our program home is located at East Niles Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Kern County, California.

Dr. Carol Stewart, Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA began her education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning her BS in Biology, Summa Cum Laude in 1986. She completed her combined BS-MD degree program at Albany Medical College, receiving her Doctorate in Medicine, Cum Laude in 1988.
